What Is a Slot?

A slot is a dynamic placeholder that either waits for content (a passive slot) or calls out to receive it (an active slot). The contents of a slot are dictated by a scenario that references a repository item using an Add Items to Slot action, or by a targeter that specifies the content that should be filled in the slot. Slots work in tandem with scenarios and renderers to deliver content to the page; however, it is not recommended that more than one scenario be used to fill a slot for offer management purposes.

Slots have changed a lot since they first came online. In addition to the traditional mechanical elements, digital technology has made way for a number of variations on the original concept. This has opened up new possibilities for the gamer, including advanced bonus rounds and varied video graphics.

When the weekend rolls around, it can be a great opportunity to get some chores done that you may have been putting off during the week. This can include things like cleaning out the garage, catching up on bills or getting to those DIY projects that have been hanging over your head. Getting these tasks out of the way can make you feel much more accomplished at the end of the day and free up time for more fun activities. It can also be a good time to give old friends a call or visit family members.
